Cooke County Taxes are Going Up Again

The Commissioners are proposing to raise our tax rate from a total of .4500 per $100 of valuation to .4624.
 
 

Why don't our newspapers tell us that the Commissioners and County Judge are proposing to raise our tax rate?

I give them credit for putting this up on their web site but I'm not sure why they aren't talking about the tax rate going up.  They sure like to talk about it when the lower the tax rate.
