Dear Editor,
Debbie Sicking unhappy taxpayer here, (not ‘anonymous’). Calling voting citizens names is not a good way to get elected. (I’m not the only angry voter, anonymous or otherwise.)
Why would the incumbent JUDGE use paid ads to attack the DISTRICT ATTORNEY? I’ve found it’s usually the person telling the truth that gets attacked the most and the hardest. Perhaps Haverkamp doesn’t want you to know the D.A.’s right? Why were our incumbent judge, county attorney and county judge thumbing their noses at campaign ethics daily displaying political advertising on courthouse property even after early voting started? Lack of respect is not a quality I want in ANY public official. Why did Haverkamp’s family/civil dockets increase the first two years she held the bench when she had a second judge hearing most of the criminal docket? (Verified by the Office of Court Administrator’s website). You get backlog when you don’t show up and do your job.
Why have I seen Haverkamp and Warder coming out of the courthouse together on Sunday afternoons? Why DID Haverkamp pull Warder out of Dallas to run for Cooke County D.A.? (Warder’s not even practicing law.) How did DALLAS’ Warder get political ad information from a 1996 campaign, (used out of context and mostly held over from Haverkamp’s regime), when she was still in Dallas? If she wanted to be a D.A. why didn’t she run in Dallas? After what she pulled in the Chabot case while with the Dallas D.A.’s office, maybe they didn’t want her there either? Why does her political ad cite cases dated 12 years and more? Why were the cops in her ad over her Gainesville P.D. endorsement wearing Sheriff’s Deputies uniforms? Did you notice their backs were to the camera? Can anyone attend the hearing Warder testifies at the end of the month regarding her secret deal and perjured testimony in the Chabot case?
Why is there a push by many in the courthouse to keep Wayne Dodson out? What does he know? Why does one incumbent commissioner not think the commissioner’s court is a place for the public to be?
Anyone else want straight answers?
